Mastering EMVCo QR & Payment Technology

What is EMVCo QR Hub?

EMV QR Hub is an independent QR workshop: Standard QR for Wi-Fi, contacts and URLs, an EMVCo merchant-presented generator with TLV and CRC-16, and a decoder that inspects those payloads in your browser. We do not process payments or store scanned merchant data. The Academy is our documentation for the same tools — not an official EMVCo publication.Explore our EMVCo Academy to learn about EMV QR payload structures, TLV formatting, CRC validation, payment QR architecture, and interoperability.

EMVCo Payment QR Support

Merchant QR on this site follows EMVCo Merchant-Presented Mode conventions: numeric ISO 4217 currency, point of initiation 11 or 12, and a CRC on Tag 63. For the normative specification, use emvco.com. For a payload that actually pays, use the GUID your acquirer assigned.Use our EMV QR Generator and QR Decoder to inspect payload structures, TLV tags, and CRC integrity validation.

The Standard QR studio customizes colors and logos while keeping ISO/IEC 18004 scannable modules. EMV generation is separate so payment tags are never mixed into a Wi-Fi payload. Both studios run locally on this device.

Whether you are minting a billed dynamic QR or sharing a contact card, check the decoded string before you print. Pretty QR art cannot fix a bad Tag 53 or a leftover test AID.
